Project Description

What is Thread Lift for Facial Rejuvenation?

Thread lift, commonly known as the “French lift,” is a non-surgical method used to tighten and rejuvenate the face and neck. This procedure aims to provide a firmer, more youthful appearance by stimulating collagen production beneath the skin, leading to tighter skin and reduced wrinkles.

Who Can Undergo a Thread Lift?

Thread lift is typically suitable for individuals aged 35-60. However, it can also be applied to older individuals who do not have excessive sagging or a heavy, oily face. It is a preferred option for those who wish to avoid surgical facelifts, anesthesia, and a prolonged recovery period.

How Does Thread Lift Work?

During a thread lift, threads are placed under the skin, around which new collagen bundles form over time. These threads increase circulation, promote collagen production, and enhance skin hydration. As a result, wrinkles diminish, skin tightens, and sagging areas are lifted. The full effect is usually visible within 3 months, and the results can last for up to 2 years. Even after the effect wears off, the patient may still appear more youthful than before the procedure. The thread lift can be repeated once its effects diminish.

Post-Procedure Care for Thread Lift

Thread lift is a safe procedure when performed under appropriate conditions and correctly applied. Post-procedure effects may include swelling, bruising, tenderness, slight edema, or small dimples at the thread entry points. These effects typically subside within 1-2 weeks, leaving no scars. Patients can resume their daily activities immediately and apply makeup after 24 hours. However, for the first 2 weeks, it is recommended to avoid dental procedures, biting hard foods, sleeping face down, and excessive facial muscle movements.
