Project Description

What Is Thigh Fat Injection?

Thigh fat injection is a surgical procedure where excess fat is removed through liposuction and then transferred to areas with volume loss or shape imperfections in the thighs. This procedure must be performed in a surgical setting under anesthesia.

How Is Thigh Fat Injection Performed?

Thigh fat injection is commonly used in thigh aesthetics. During the procedure, excess fat from the inner thigh, particularly around the knee area, is harvested and utilized. Initially, the areas for fat removal and transfer are marked. Liposuction cannulas are inserted into these areas to extract fat, which is then concentrated and injected into the desired areas to ensure symmetry.

To enhance the longevity of the fat injection, aesthetic applications combined with stem cells can be performed, potentially increasing the fat injection’s durability to up to 70%. Using the Vaser liposuction technique, 2000 to 3000 cc of fat can be extracted from the abdomen, waist, or hips in a single session. The harvested fat is then injected into appropriate areas of the thighs to achieve symmetry. The procedure involves only 0.3 mm incisions, which are hidden in folds, leaving no visible scars. Fat transfer is performed using thick-tipped injectors. Post-operatively, patients are fitted with compression stockings or a corset to prevent swelling and maintain the shape of the injected fat.

Who Is Suitable for Thigh Fat Injection?

Thigh fat injection is recommended for individuals seeking to correct volume loss or shape imperfections in their thighs. It is ideal for those who have experienced volume loss in the thighs or wish to improve their shape. Additionally, those looking to correct asymmetry or achieve a fuller appearance in specific areas of their thighs may consider this procedure. Candidates should be in good general health and suitable for surgical intervention.
