The Bi-One 2.0 MD® device, which uses the new-generation Biodermogenesi® MD Method, is an innovation-awarded device by the Italian government. Biodermogenesi®—which has been taught in multiple Anti-Aging and Medical Aesthetic Master Programs with CME Accreditation—has continually evolved in its scope of indications. Initially aimed only at treating stretch marks, it is now used in a variety of applications.
It is highly effective in body shaping, cellulite treatment, tightening, and firming. Increased collagen and elastin help tighten, firm, and reshape the skin, giving the body a more contoured appearance.
The method provides highly satisfying results in cellulite treatment. It reduces pressure on the skin by breaking down fibrotic fibers in the cellulite tissue, smoothing the skin. Additionally, circulation issues in affected areas are addressed, speeding up the healing process.
Although we have achieved some success with various laser systems (Pulsed Dye Laser, Fractional Laser, Q-SW Nd-Yag Laser), mesotherapies, and carboxytherapy over the past decade, the results have not always been satisfying. Even if the surface improved, color changes remained problematic, and prolonged discoloration was experienced.
Since starting Biodermogenesi treatment in our clinic in September 2013 and observing the results, we have nearly completely abandoned other stretch mark treatment options (with some positive responses still seen with carboxytherapy in certain cases).
We achieve positive improvements in both new (red, stria distensa rubra) and old (white, stria distensa alba) stretch marks using the Biodermogenesi method. Clinical improvement ranges from 70% to 85%, with a higher success rate in new cases. Tanning of the treated areas is possible in almost every case. The results are permanent, with studies showing that improvements remain at the same level even after 5 years. Our experience confirms that the improvements from 2-year treatments are similarly enduring.
Biodermogenesi is a non-invasive technique that causes only mild redness on the skin and does not restrict normal daily activities. We have observed that with each session, the skin becomes more normalized, the supporting tissue regains its former elasticity, and pigmentation normalizes. In the early stages of stretch mark treatment, 8-10 sessions may be sufficient. However, for older stretch marks, 15-20 sessions or additional sessions in some cases may be needed. We typically perform an average of 2 to 3 sessions per week for stretch mark treatment.
