Project Description

How is Dimple Aesthetics Performed?

Dimple aesthetics is commonly performed by accessing the inner side of the cheek and intervening in the muscle and fat tissue there. The procedure does not require extensive preparation beforehand. The area for the dimple is chosen collaboratively by the patient and doctor, and some markings are made on the area. After the patient is placed under general anesthesia, the procedure begins. During this surgical procedure, the laughing muscle is either sutured to the mucosa inside the mouth or, if necessary, a small amount of fat or muscle tissue is removed. The procedure typically lasts 15 minutes, but in cases where more pronounced dimples are desired, it may take up to an hour.

Since the procedure is performed under general anesthesia, patients are generally discharged immediately after the operation.

How is Venus & Lower Back Dimple Formation Performed?

Venus dimples are natural dimples at the junction of the buttocks and lower back. These dimples are permanent and are not affected by muscle movements. To create dimples in the hip area, subcutaneous fat tissues are reduced to create a dimpled appearance. This procedure is done under general anesthesia and takes about 20 minutes. Symmetrical dimples are created on both sides of the predetermined area.

If there is a pregnancy or breastfeeding condition, the operation should be postponed. It is recommended to reassess after childbirth and breastfeeding.

Is it Possible to Reverse Dimple Aesthetics?

While aesthetic surgeries are generally permanent, dimple aesthetics can be an exception. Reversal is possible with dimple aesthetics performed from the inside of the mouth or in the lower back and hip areas. Sometimes, if patients are not satisfied with their new appearance or have trouble adapting, a reversal may be possible.

What is the Recovery Process After Dimple Aesthetics?

Before the surgery, it is recommended to consume soft foods. After the surgery, it is normal to experience swelling and mild bruising for about 1 week. Mild pain is expected in the first few days. As swelling and bruising decrease, the dimples begin to appear. Although dimples may be visible immediately after surgery, they may decrease over time and become noticeable only with a smile.

At What Age Can Dimple Aesthetics Be Performed?

Dimple aesthetics can be performed at any age as it provides an attractive and sympathetic appearance. There is no specific age limit, but it is generally applied to individuals over 18 years old.
